The Redrum Coffeehouse has been online now for almost four years, and in that time, I've published five issues. For quite some time now, I've been considering taking it offline, or at the very least, not publishing anymore issues. I've lamented about it on and off for more than a year because I don't *really* want to stop doing the zine altogether, I just don't have the energy to keep it going in its current form.

What didn't occur to me was that I could change the site altogether to make it easier to maintain and update as I go along, without the pressure of doing a whole big issue. Bringing together images and words for an issue isn't quite as easy as one would think, and I don't have the time or inclination to continue doing it for the rest of time.

So here is what's going to happen.

The Redrum Coffeehouse will turn into a plain old website. Not a zine. As I have the time, I'll change parts of it now and then, add new art and change the images as they are submitted. I'll mix the old in with the new. I'll piece together a site like a macabre patchwork crazy quilt, something that could have been made by a blind old crazy woman with needle-pricked fingers and some left-over funeral shroud fabric.

I'll still accept submissions, so if you have some art, poetry, prose, or anything else twisted that might be good fare, send it to me and we'll see how it goes. I reserve the right to publish or not publish submissions as I see fit. It's my page, after all, and I don't deal well with people demanding that I publish their stuff.

Please check back again -- I'm in the process of rebuilding.
